If everything works correctly, a couple of things you can do to help would include an exhaust and downpipe setup to improve flow after the turbos, and that might help low end spool a little, but it certainly won't be night and day at that end. Note that failures in any of these components are thought to lead to the death of turbos in short order, so they should be addressed. 2Jz Gte Boost Controller Ation Full Technical Run This article is by no means a full technical run down of the complete system as there are plenty of handy articles out there explaining it and how it works, but to help troubleshooting issues I have put a summary below of what it does based on some research of the system. If this is leaking, you will find the first turbo isn't getting it's fill, and that will certainly hurt low boost. This one blocks exhaust from going through the second turbo until engine speed and boost is high enough to need both. If it is leaking, you won't notice much on the low end, only that the transition is not smooth. If it fails, the transition will be harsh. THis little guy pre spools the second turbo and makes the transition to twin operation more seamless. A second thing to look at would be a wastegate problem, and again you should have low boost all the time. One is the BOV.a bad bov leaks boost back pre turbo.you should have low boost all the time. The wastegate is closed at the low end already.ĭid you have better response before? If so, there are a couple of things that can go wrong. and i know alot of people run there boost gauge pipe from there, so it might also be giving an improper reading.In general, boost controllers will not help with the bottom end on a correctly working car. ^^but i was thinking if it says tee in between the intake mani and solonied, there must be a reason for this !! maybe if you use the little nipple on intake mani it doesnt actually give a proper true reading. Now some say jus put the pipe on where there is a little spare nipple on the intake manifold. Im jus wondering where exactly i put the tee piece. for these vehicles make sure to get the pressure from the line between the intake manifold and the solonied.) -FOR TRUE BOOST PRESSURE. Its the pipe that goes to the rear of the controller which im wondering about. NEW PRODUCTS(16) ECU + Universal Wiring Kits. Now i know how too to do the solonid side which is easy. Cheers andy, but ive read through that forum, theres actually a few threads about fitting boost controllers, but noone actually seems to have a clue !!! they all say different.
